On May 12, 2023 on the sidelines of the XI St. Petersburg International Legal Forum the business session «Digital assets in action: first results, challenges and prospects» was held under the aegis of the RSPP. On May 17, 2023 the XIV International Scientific Forum «Perspective Tasks of the Engineering Science» was held in Moscow on the platform of the A.N. Kosygin Russian State University. The Forum was organized by the International Academy of Engineering. On May 19, 2023 RUSTITAN Company Group signed an agreement with the administration of the Nenets Autonomous District to study the mineral resource base and develop the deposits located in the district and to form on their basis a national mining cluster. On May 23, 2023 the Russia-China Business Forum took place in Shanghai within the framework of the official visit of M.Mishustin to the People’s Republic of China. E.Bazhov, Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in the PRC, took part in the events and held talks with Shenzhen Guanhong Technology CO on localizing the production of high-tech equipment in Russia. On May 24-25, 2023 the II Eurasian Economic Forum was held in Moscow. The business program of the Forum included 35 sessions, which covered the whole range of issues of Eurasian interaction in a changing world. The Forum attracted more than 2,700 participants and media representatives from 59 countries and territories. The main topics were the most urgent and relevant issues of integration processes in the EAEU: preparation of new long-term planning documents and determination of the main areas of integrative cooperation for the period until 2030 and 2045, development of EAEU cooperation with non-CIS countries, customs regulations, prospects of the EAEU internal market, as well as digital transformation and improvement of international settlement mechanisms, and others.
Among the speakers of the Forum were Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the FBA EAC, Member of the Board (Minister) of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission B.Sagintayev and Chairman of the FBA EAC Executive Board, Vice-president of the RSPP A.Murychev. On May 24, 2023 within the program of the II Eurasian Economic Forum Chairman of the FBA EAC Executive Board A.Murychev moderated the session «International Settlements and Digital Assets». He noted that the issues of cross-border settlements by companies are currently the most sensitive and need to be resolved as soon as possible. He also stressed the importance of ensuring uninterrupted and seamless payments between EEU countries in mutual trade and proposed to continue implementing practical measures to further increase the share of national currencies of member states in mutual trade. On May 26, 2023 Chairman of the FBA EAC Executive Board, Vice-president of the RSPP A.Murychev spoke at the meeting of the Council of the Association of Banks of Russia on the issue of «Long money formation mechanisms, stimulation and encouragement of such savings». A.Murychev said that the main points for the expansion of the market of «long money» are the availability of liquidity and financial infrastructure, the stability of the business environment. On July 26-29, 2023 the Second Summit and Economic Forum Russia – Africa (RAF 2023) will be held in Saint Petersburg. In September 2023, the Association’s anniversary booklet is scheduled to be released. Vice-presidents, chairmen of committees, heads of representative offices are invited to join the preparation of this publication, having worked out the issue of preparing congratulations for the FBA EAC from significant international, state, public organizations that will be included in the booklet.
From November 8 to 16, 2023, the FBA EAC International Business Week will take place. A number of round tables on industry topics will be held during the week.
