On January 13, 2022, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Timur Suleimenov, a member of the Supervisory Board of VEB’s EAC, was appointed First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On January 18, 2022, the annual meeting of the participants of the Lisbon-Vladivostok Initiative took place. The event was attended by more than 100 people, the meeting was held in a mixed format. The moderator of the event was a member of the FBA EAC Supervisory Board, President of the SCHNEIDER GROUP U.Schneider. In his speech, he noted that despite the difficulties associated with the pandemic and political differences, the Initiative is increasingly uniting the space of Europe and Eurasia. On January 25, 2022, a meeting of the Bureau of the FBA EAC Board was held in videoconference format. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of the Association A. Murychev. The participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the preparation of the General Meeting of Members of the FBA EAC on 3.03.2022, approved the work plan and budget of the FBA EAC for 2022.

On January 26, 2022, the head of the CRCC representative office in Moscow Mr. Peng Mingquan met with a member of the Bureau of FBA EAC Board A.Tkachuk and the representative of FBA EAC in Iraq and the United Arab Emirates D. Panasenko. The meeting was devoted to further cooperation using a wide range of tools, including investment projects in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, the Middle East and Africa, as well as cooperation in the development of the Pyzhem titanium-quartz deposit in the Komi Republic of the Russian Federation. On January 31, 2022, a meeting of the Committee of the Association of Banks of Russia on Banking Legislation was held in the format of the videoconference. The following issues were discussed at the meeting: on the draft of the Federal Law No. 48749-8 “On Amendments to the Federal Law “On Consumer Credit (Loan)” and certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation” in terms of improving the procedure for calculating the full cost of consumer credit (loan), on the report of the Working Group on Guarantees and Letters of Credit for 2021, on planning the work of the Committee on Banking Legislation for 2022.

On February 3, 2022, the first organizational meeting of the Expert Council of the International Banking Council (IBS) will be held in the videoconference format on the Cisco Webex platform. The main purpose of the event is to determine the thematic work plans of the Council for 2022-2023.
On February 11, 2022, at 11.00 msk, a round table “Prospects for cooperation with UNIDO: a strategy for Universal sustainable industrial development” will be held in the format of a videoconference. Members and partners of the FBA EAC, heads of representative offices and committees of the Association are invited to participate. A connection link will be sent additionally.
In February 2022, as part of cooperation with the financial unit of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), we will begin holding Business meetings “Public Reception” with a Member of the Board (Minister) for Economics and Financial Policy of the EEC R.Beketaev. Such meetings are planned to be held once every 2 months. The purpose of such events is to exchange experience, identify problems and obstacles for the business development of the members of the FBA EAC on the territory of the EAEU countries. The Annual Meeting of credit institutions with the management of the Bank of Russia will take place on March 3-4, 2022.
