September 5, 2022 the “Eurasian Conference on Cooperation and Development” took place in Beijing as part of the International Trade Fair in Services (CIFTIS– 2022). The events were attended by the participating countries of the Global Initiative “One Belt, One Road”. The Eurasian Conference is organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Government of Beijing, the World Trade Network Alliance, the Institute of Russian-Chinese Strategic Cooperation, as well as the RSPP Committee for International Cooperation, the Russian-Chinese Chamber, the Moscow-Beijing Business Cooperation Center, Delovaya Rossiya, etc. O.Preksin, Member of the FBA EAC Board, Vice-President of the Association of Russian Banks, took part in the conference and made a report on the topic “Development of cross-border payments and settlements”. September 15, 2022 an expanded meeting of the Bureau of the Board of the FBA EAC took place. The members of the Bureau of the Board, Vice-Presidents, members of the Board of FBA EAC, heads of Representative Offices, chairmen of industry Committees attended the event. The participants represented 15 countries of the world. Chairman of the FBA EAC Board A.Murychev chaired the meeting. During the meeting, the participands considered the issues of preparation for the IX Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum and approved the opening of the Representative Office of the FBA EAC in the Federative Republic of Brazil and the creation of the Committees of the FBA EAC: on healthcare, pharmacy and medical equipment and investments in construction and real estate, as well as current organizational and financial issues of the Association’s activities. September 20, 2022 the third meeting of the Working Group on the Main directions of Integration Development under the Advisory Council on Interaction of the EEC and the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union was held. The subject of discussion was the implementation of strategic directions for the development of the Eurasian economic integration until 2025 and the preparation of the main directions for the economic development of the EAEU until 2035.
During the meeting, he noted that, despite the current geopolitical situation, the Eurasian Economic Union continues to develop in the international arena. The Minister pointed that the adoption of the strategy was timely and the pace of its implementation is generally consistent with the planned. Glazyev, Executive Secretary of the EAEU Business Council, Managing Director of the Department for International Multilateral Cooperation and Integration of the RSPP S. September 16, 2022 The Forum “Public-Private Dialogue on Promoting Integrity and Good Governance in Infrastructure” was held within the framework of the B20. The Forum was attended by representatives of government agencies of Indonesia, heads of large companies, international research institutes. Among the speakers were: Head of the B20 Shinta Kandoni, President of ICC Indonesia Ilham Habiboy, Head of the Institute of Public Administration in Basel Jahani Grossman and others. Important issues related to the fight against corruption and reformatting the system of public-private partnerships were discussed at the event. The event was attended by I.Gorbulina, the head of the Representative Office of the FBA EAC in the Australian Union and New Zealand. September 23, 2022 the XIX International Banking Forum “Banks of Russia – XXI century” took place. The session was moderated by the President of the Association of Banks, member of the Board of the FBA EAC of Russia G. Luntovskiy. The panel session was attended by the heads of the Bank of Russia, the Moscow Exchange, the HSE Banking Institute, the Deposit Insurance Agency, the NKR Rating Agency, the Asia-Pacific Bank and others. The Chairman of the Board of the FBA EAC, Vice-President of the RSPP A.Murychev. made an assessment of the current situation from the point of view of the non-financial sector of the economy and proposals that still need to be given in addition to those proposals that were sent by the RSPP to the Bank of Russia and the Government. September 27, 2022 a regular meeting of the RSPP Integration Council on Interaction with the EEC took place. The Vice-President of the RSPP, Chairman of the Council, Chairman of the Board of the FBA EAC A.Murychev chaired the meeting. The meeting participants discussed issues of improving the interaction of the Eurasian Economic Commission with the business community of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, proposals for the formation of a common commodity exchange market within the EAEU, exploring the prospects for the creation of Eurasian companies within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union law, financing industrial cooperation projects within the EAEU, developing cooperation with the business community of the EAEU partner countries and representatives of business circles from third countries. The participants also discussed the implementation of Strategic Directions for the development of the Eurasian Economic Integration in 2022 and issues of improving cooperation between the EAEU Business Council and the Eurasian Economic Commission. September 27, 2022 a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the IX Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum “Building bridges, not barriers. Business Eurasia in a New Reality”. The meeting was attended by 24 people from 8 countries: the leadership of the Association, members of the Organizing Committee of the Forum, heads of a number of Representative Offices and Committees of the FBA EAC. The participants discussed the forum panels, which will be held in different countries; technical issues of the organization of the Forum; options for filling the budget; participation in the Forum of status persons; summing up the results of the competition for the award of the international public Award “Business Elite of Eurasia” and awarding the winners during the panel session of the Forum. September 27, 2022 The Chinese Embassy in Russia hosted a meeting of FBA EAC Board member A.Tkachuk with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Russian Federation, Mr. Zhang Hanhui. During the meeting, the participants discussed the prospects for the development of trade between the Russian Federation and China, building new logistics chains and reorienting cargo flows taking into account current economic realities. The parties exchanged information on ongoing projects and opportunities for promising cooperation within the framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the fields of the Eurasian space at a high level. September 29, 2022 business negotiations with a Greek business representative took place at the FBA EAC headquarters. FBA EAC was represented at the meeting by O. Berezovoy, General Director, A.Artyukhin, Chairman of the Committee on Healthcare, Pharmacy and Medical Equipment, and S. Plikais, Chairman of the Committee on Investments in Construction and Real Estate. On the Greek side, the President of the Association of Russian-speaking Entrepreneurs of Greece, CEO of G-LUBRICANTS K. Gkampaeridis took part in the negotiations. The participants of the meeting exchanged information about the business opportunities of their structures, assessed the potential of business cooperation and discussed the problems of building partnerships. During the negotiations, it was also decided to consider the possibility of opening a Representative Office of the FBA EAC in Greece and Cyprus.
